The PIM VR-2 is an original exotic
automobile currently undergoing
extensive testing and final development.
The plan for the VR-2, after completion
of the development and testing program,
is to enter into very limited production
of the "streetable" vehicle in calendar
year 2011/2012.
The PIM VR-2 is the most unique and
truly innovative vehicle offered in the
Exotic Automobile market today. The
appearance, the inventive and
unprecedented power system, and the very
limited production levels set the VR-2
apart from all competitors. The VR-2
design is based in the fundamentals of
quality, craftsmanship, performance, and
reliability.
The PIM VR-2 is the worlds first exotic
automobile utilizing a completely unique
and original power system (MPS)
supplying horsepower, acceleration, and
overall performance to rival the best
offerings in the Exotic Automobile
market today. The MPS power system
utilizes two separate rotary engines
linked through the MPS system to a
single transaxle. The MPS system enables
the VR-2 to possess extremely high
horsepower without the unreliable and
over-stretched characteristics of the
traditional power plants in the current "Super
car"
offerings. The VR-2 chassis is
constructed of tubular steel and
chromoly, with composite structures of
aluminum and carbon fiber. The chassis
is equipped with unequal-length A-arms
in the front and rear, balanced
coil-over shocks, front and rear
adjustable sway-bars, and ground effects
incorporated into the under tray,
sidepods, nose, roof, and wing. The VR-2
cockpit amenities include racing bucket
seats, four point racing harness',
performance based gauges and
instruments, and a diagnostic management
system.
